TAG TEAM Pokémon-GX continue to take center stage in the Pokémon TCG, providing the extra power that can only come when two Pokémon share the spotlight! The Sun & Moon—Unbroken Bonds expansion turns up the heat with Reshiram & Charizard-GX, a scorching duo ready to light up the competition.

The key to our example deck featuring Reshiram & Charizard-GX is adding fuel to their fire as quickly as possible. Use Supporter cards Welder and Kiawe to load Fire Energy onto your star so it can start torching foes with its outstanding Flare Strike attack. You need to have Energy in your hand to use Welder, so grab it from your deck with Fiery Flint, or from your discard pile with Fire Crystal.

You can see that this deck relies heavily on Trainer cards working in harmony to keep Reshiram & Charizard-GX’s fires going. That’s where Jirachi and Tapu Lele-GX come in—both excel at providing Trainer cards when you need them.

As powerful as this Pokémon-GX is, sometimes you need to find a little firepower from other sources. Flareon-GX and Victini Prism Star both keep the heat on your opponent when your TAG TEAM is cooling off.
